Get clear on who it's for, the result they want, whether there's real demand, what makes your approach different, the right format, and the smallest strong version worth building.
Turn expertise into a learning path.
Work backward from the outcome. Map the milestones, sequence what learners need when they need it, build in application, and cut what doesn't move them toward the result.
Build the standard.
Protect your IP, give AI the right context and guardrails, build one strong prototype, pressure-test it, and refine it until it truly represents your expertise.
Scale the standard.
Use your approved prototype to build the rest of the course, then create only the worksheets, examples, prompts, templates, and support learners genuinely need to use what you're teaching.
Make it ready to sell.
Define what done looks like. QA the learner experience, confirm your price, choose where the course will live, make sure someone can actually buy it and get access, build the minimum launch path, and put a date on it.
One more thing: you may finish Day 1 and discover the right version of what you know is a guide or a workshop rather than a course. That's useful. You'll build the right thing rather than the expected thing.
